Ciara storm hits our country…

The Ciara storm has passed over our country on the 9th of February 2020 and caused serious problems in big parts of Europe. TNO wind energy measurement systems have captured it. On Sunday, we saw values up to 40 m/s on the North Sea at a representative height of 116m. This is what we call a storm! For offshore wind development, TNO wind energy is operating LiDAR wind measurement platforms on various locations at the North Sea. All wind data are publicly available at
